Hello!
I'd like to know if there's any tutorial about how to run fine the GTA and GTA London 1969 3Dfx versions (they use DOS files). How should I proceed to run GTA2 on 3Dfx? Thanks in advance.
GTA, GTA London 1969 and GTA 2
Re: GTA, GTA London 1969 and GTA 2
0) Install nGlide
GTA1/London (DOS):
1) Download and extract DOSBox SVN Daum build
2) Set memsize=63, fullscreen=true and mount commands in dosbox.conf
3) Rename/remove glide2x.dll file from build's root directory
4) Launch dosbox.exe, install and launch (GTADOS\gtafx.exe or GTADOS\grafx_uk.exe) the game under DOSBox console
Mount commands example:
c:\dosgames will be mounted as c:\ and e:\ (your CD-ROM) will be mounted as d:\ in DOSBox
GTA2 (Windows):
1) Install updated version of the game (9.6)
2) Run gta2.reg from nGlide compatibility list
3) Launch gta2.exe

Re: GTA, GTA London 1969 and GTA 2
Thank You very much Zeus.
I have Rockstar Classics (it contains GTA 1, GTA London 1969 and GTA2), but unfortunatly it doesn't comes
with the DOS files. I'm buying the original ones (released in 1997, I think) so I'll be able to use the 3Dfx versions.
I tried before and I did run the 3Dfx demo of GTA1 (ECTS version). I'll check if the GTA2 demo has a 3Dfx version too.
Thank You very much for your support.

Re: GTA, GTA London 1969 and GTA 2
Hi Zeus! I've been trying to use the GTA 2 .reg file to be able to play with 3DFx enabled.
The file seems to work well, but I'm facing an issue.
GTA Manager allows PC players to choose playing during day ("Noon" option) or night ("Dusk" option) on video tab. I know opening GTA2 Manager resets 3DFx, and we have to execute the .reg file to activate 3DFx again. But this stucks players to the "Dusk" option, we won't be able to play the "Noon" option.
I can open the GTA2 Manager and select the "Noon" option, but when I close it and execute the .reg fix to use 3DFx, it automatically forces "Dusk" option, and we can play only on night. Is there any way to enable players to choose playing the "Noon" option with 3DFx enabled? Thanks in advance.

My guess would be that "lighting"=dword:00000001 controls it. Try changing it to "lighting"=dword:00000000 or "lighting"=dword:00000002 if the first doesn't work.

Noon: [HKLM\SOFTWARE\DMA Design Ltd\GTA2\Screen], "lighting"=dword:00000000.
Dusk: [HKLM\SOFTWARE\DMA Design Ltd\GTA2\Screen], "lighting"=dword:00000001.
I don't use 64-bit OSs but the method must be similar.

A true widescreen windows version of GTA & its add-ons was recently released
https://steamcommunity.com/app/12170/di ... 231197499/
I'm really enjoying the extra FOV. However, I can't help but feel like the ultimate way to enjoy this would be combining the widescreen with Glide mode. I've reached out to the creator, who says it's possible, but that they have no plans to implement it.
Can anyone here suggest a way of enabling Glide mode on GTA Ready2Play?
