Reason for fps drop in heretic ii on ati x1800

Hi, I'm using old laptop for old games, it works on core 2 duo with ati x1800, win vista 32 and nglide 2.10. Compare these two screens, one from opengl with 60fps and another one is from glide with 24fps. Why such fps drop? X1800 is not capable in emulating some effect here?

Well, everything is emulation. X1800 is 15 years old, perhaps it's the bandwidth issue.

You can drop me a savegame, but I'm not sure if I observe any slowdown on my GTX 960. ;)
