btw:
Nglide 1.05 works in Windows98se with Directx9.0 (no a,b oder c) with GeForce Fx5200.

I run Need for Speed 2 SE.

I run fullscreen and windowed mode. windowed seems a little bit faster, but it's to dark.
In Fullscreen Gamma is Okay.

That good to know, because there are some 98-Games that need Patches when running under XP.
So they can be played on the system they are designed for, but with emulated 3dfx.

Well, there is a different way.
Is there a d3d program/demo with VS/PS 2.0a shaders?

I think it would be nice to have wrappers for other old APIs.

By the way - why ddraw/d3d wrapper? There is another method - ddraw/d3d driver for real Voodoo2/nGlide. DX7/DX8/DX9 compatible. Because Win2000 and above not have it. And there is no need to code shaders etc, just the fixed pipeline...

Sure, especially if you think GOG.com might be able to use it at some point in the future. ;)

Graphical APIs

DirectX set (DirectDraw or Direct2D or Direct3D any versions)
OpenGL
Vulkan (for old gamers there is quake port named vkQuake it uses Vulkan API)
Mantle

Other API's
Matrox Impression -> all games seems for DOS, i think it can be emulated whenever lets say in PCem or 86Box or dosbox-x, i think can't be wrapped.
Exclusive games that can't be found on other platforms and on other API's. If you don't have card it work in software rendered mode.

Matrox Millennium have its own acceleration.

3D Blaster (CGL) two variants VLB & PCI, can use Creative Graphic Library and PCI version additional have rendition verite chip v1000.
i think can't be wrapped, but can be emulated.

Rebel Moon
SODA Off-Road Racing

Paradise Tasmania 3D (RenderWare, Brender, RenderMorphics) can't wrapped, can emulated.

Nvidia NV1 (NVLib) can be wrapped already WIP by Tuxality -> http://redtux.rocik.net/?page=projects can be emulated.
i think something about emulation can be helpful its: sega saturn emulators and mame that is uses this chip, correct me if i wrong, also Tuxality can improve graphics over real video card, by adding bilinear filtering that is not presented in NV1.

ATI 3D Rage (ATI CIF) ok for future i think every card can be emulated except Radeon 8500 (it Have ATI TruForm Technology, and no processor exist that can beat it?)
There is wrappers GLCIF, glrage, Tuxality also working on its own wrapper.

S3 Virge (S3D) Tuxality working on S3D Toolkit Wrapper, this video card also emulated in 86Box, PCem, dosbox-x.

Matrox Mystique (MSI) seems no body work on emulation or wrapper, no exclusive games, i mean games can be founded on other platforms and API's, hardware acceleration.

Rendition Verite (RRedline, Speedy3D) - other video card it Creative 3D Blaster that can run these games too.

SODA Off-Road Racing -> 3dfx patch is planned but never released =(, there is bigrred 3dfx wrapper, open sourced, bu learning it its possible to make wrapper to glide, so this game can be run on nGlide =)
no one working on emulation, no working on wrapper, but many times mentioned especially on vogons forums.

PowerVR (PowerSGL) Tuxality working on both emulation and wrapper.
i think mame and sega dreamcast can be helpful on it.
Fift Element have sgl.dll its mingl correct? just only for that game. Its need to try use it on other PowerVR games, there is chance that accidently something start workin =)))
Nightmare creatures is patched to work with 3dfx.
HeXen II: Continent of Blackmarsh (PowerVR) can run by replacing glide2x.dll from retail release.
Exclusive games that can't be found on other platforms and on other API's. If you don't have card it WILL NOT EVEN WORK!!!!!!!.

3DFX VooDo (Glide) ah everyone know it =) nGlide best!!!
other interesting fact you can combine Glidos and nglide to work together, all GLIDos settings will work + nglide settings, its makes graphic better and it allowing play some heavy games on good FPS, like Redguard directly on NTVDM, or VDOS, there is special dosbox version comes with it too.
dgVoodoo is another wrapper that can run dos games without dosbox.
games that use static linkage cant be run on nGLide you need 3dfx emulation that is slower, some builds of dosbox emulate 3dfx and 86box and pcem too.
I several times try to combine bigrred wrapper with glidos to run 3dfx dos games on windows98 using rendition verite graphic card, and it not work =(
dgVoodoo even can be executed if i replace glide2x.dll.

Neon250 (PowerSGL2) no games ever released, no one working on it, is nextgen of PowerVR.

Matrox Millennium G200 only Heretic II.

ATI Radeon 8500 - ATI Radeon X580
They have ATI TruForm that is very very nice thing, i would like to see wrapper, Tuxality works on it,
There is so many games to make list here....
