Zeus, there is one cosmetical glitch.
Many games use standard GDI interface for a setup. Wacky Races, World War III: Black gold etc.
If you use nGlide - the window size will set to the tested 3dfx resolution. Something like this:
Is there a way to supress this enlarging?

Fixed.Gamecollector wrote:Wizardry 8 - windows cursor in movies with nGlide 1.04. Nglide 1.03 and real Voodoo2 SLI are ok.
IIRC it has something to do with memory management (which is broken on XP and later), not with Voodoo capabilities.Gamecollector wrote:World Cup 98 - the game is ok except the "texturing" bug. Well, the question is "is Voodoo Graphics works ok in this game with default voodooa.dll"?
Fixed.Gamecollector wrote:Xtreme Air Racing - all 4 resolutions are 640x480 with nGlide 1.04. Same for nGlide 1.03.
A real hardware changes the resolution correctly.
I tested these 2 again and to my surprise TW glitch started to appear. Why? Because this time I had splash logo enabled. Fixed.Gamecollector wrote: Yes, can't repeat bug with Time Warriors _st_3dfx0.exe. Have removed it from the list.
Unpatched F-22 Lightning 3 ctd - can't repeat too.
No change when it comes to F22L3. Works ok.
Maybe after 1.05...Gamecollector wrote:Zeus, there is one cosmetical glitch.

No 3dfxspl.dll - no bug? Fascinating.Zeus wrote: to my surprise TW glitch started to appear. Why? Because this time I had splash logo enabled. Fixed.
Another one problem with glide.dll - have tested Scorched Planet. The 3dfx mode is epically slow. 10-15 FPS.

Re: NGlide versus my glide games collection
Man, I'd no idea this was also a Glide 2.x game! I picked it up from the discount bin in 2004 or 2005. I just went through all my old game CDs and know where they are, so I'll see if my CD has CD Audio. I also got Crime Cities (with the infamous Techland drivers/wrappers), as it turns out, around the same timeGamecollector wrote:Looks like a new glide game was accidentally found.
Space Haste - Church of Electronic Entertainment/Midas Games, 2001.
Well, it looks like the game was released in 2000 in US (the publisher was Real.com). Plus no CDA on my CD but the game have CDA options in the menu... Is it the RIP version? Maybe

What about space haste 2?

Re: NGlide versus my glide games collection
As I can see it includes 2 versions of the game. Classic: glide2x, glide3x and d3d6 support. And d3d8 one, w/o glide support. AFAIK Classic version is identical to Space Haste except the title screen.myloch wrote:What about space haste 2?
So - I marked this cd as the compilation. Wasn't added to the list similar to Tiger Woods PGA Tour Collection (TW99+courses) etc.
I can compare both (Space Haste and Space Haste 2 classic) but I doubt the difference is critical.

Re: NGlide versus my glide games collection
Got Superbike 2000 for testing.
Unfortunately - no glide, software/d3d only.
This game is deleted from the "to check" list.

Re: NGlide versus my glide games collection
Another "native" glide game is confirmed.
- UEFA Champions League Season 1998-99, Silicon Dreams / Eidos Interactive, 1999.
The game is software/d3d/glide. Uses glide2x. Supported glide resolutions are 512x384, 640x400, 640x480 and 800x600 (both Voodoo2 SLI and nGlide 1.05).
Unfortunately *censored* Escape player is used so uefa.exe needs EmulateSlowCPU and SingleProcAffinity.
Works ok on Voodoo2 SLI.
NGlide 1.05 is almost ok, there is z-fighting (pre-game mostly).

Re: NGlide versus my glide games collection
^ 99/00 edition do not have Glide, but this one has. That leaves us World League Soccer 98 to test.
