Le Mans 24 Hours Infogrames

Post by nuninho »

Welcome to Zeus Software. :)

Attention to screenshot because two games titles (both Inforgames and Atari) are equals:

Does this game not have 3DFX videocard support?

I tried to Win 95 (compatibility mode for nGlide) but this game requires Win 98. - may you make mistake?

Hello nuninho,

only Infogrames' game has Glide API support. Atari's game shown in screenshot doesn't have it.
As for Win95/98 compatibility modes, they are just collections of 57 ACT fixes and the only difference between them is Windows version exposed by GetVersion and GetVersionEx.

You need EmulateSlowCPU ACT fix for Le Mans 24 Hours = Test Drive: Le Mans from Infogrames...
Still, the game is quitting to desktop in "Le Mans 24 Hours" mode if the OS is Xp. You can test the car, but before the first actual race - qtd.
No quitting in Win9x/ME.
ASUS P4P800 SE, Pentium4 3.2E/2 GiB DDR400 (3-3-3-8), Sapphire Radeon HD3850 AGP, 2 Voodoo2 12 MB (SLI), Audigy 2 ZS.
Windows XP SP3 Pro Rus (w/o the POSReady hack), Catalyst 14.4, Voodoo2 W2k 1.02.00 drivers.

Ok, I haven't Test Drive: Le Mans (2000) but yes Le Mans 24 Hours (2002) - I don't use nGlide. ;)

I got 20-25 fps running Win 7 x64 with currently CPU i5-2500K and GPU GeForce GTX 480 due to new CPU but before 35 to 45 fps running Vista x64 and old Pentium D 820 in 2007. How do I fix performance issue to 60 fps for this game?
