Pool of Radiance : Ruins of Myth Drannor and nGlide

Postby amgreenhawk » Thu May 24, 2018 4:58 am

Hi, does this game PoR:Ruins of Myth Drannor have direct Glide support or just uses the DirectX API?

I remember that this game supports Voodoo cards, as written on the box, but not sure if it uses Glide API directly or via DirectX.

This game has many graphics glitches running on modern systems, including my Thinkpad X230 laptop, with Windows XP installed. This system is the only one with Windows XP still running, and it has the Intel HD4000 graphics.

I was wondering if it's possible to make this game use the nGlide, if at all.

Thanks.

Sadly Icewind Dale is the only DnD game with Glide support. :( And even with Icewind Dale case Glide support was dropped with the official expansion pack release, Heart of Winter.

I have tested the expansion w/o Voodoo2 SLI in my test PC. So - no 3dfxvgl.dll in %system% then no 3dfx support in the config program.
Have returned the expansion to the "minigl" list.

P.S. Looks like 3dfxogl is supported too (as "3dfx installed OpenGL Driver").
