Support for more resolutions ingame

Postby M[u]ddy » Mon Apr 23, 2012 8:05 pm

Let me explain what I mean with one example.
Divine Divinitys latest version supports all kinds of resolutions, like 1920×1080 for example.
However in Glide mode, only 640×480, 800×600, 1024×756 and 1280×1024 work. Even 1280×960 doesn't work.
Divine Divinity is probably not the only game that supports other resolutions in Direct3D mode. Deus Ex for example would be another game, even though there are better solutions for it.
Would it be possible to make those other resolution work in Glide mode, too?

Additional info:
The old configuration program for Divine Divinity hat support for 640×480, 800×600 and 1024×756.
The new configuration program with the new resolutions doesn't support Glide anymore.
I was able to set the game to Glide with the old configuration program and then change the resolution to 1280×1024 with the new configuration program.

No, it's impossible. Glide API limitation.

Here's internal Glide API resolutions list:
  • 320x200
  • 320x240
  • 400x256
  • 400x300
  • 512x256
  • 512x384
  • 640x200
  • 640x350
  • 640x400
  • 640x480
  • 800x600
  • 856x480
  • 960x720
  • 1024x768
  • 1280x1024
  • 1600x1200

Yes, he can. But he asked about internal resolutions in order to extend game's field of view.

That's what I suspected. To bad, but thanks for the answer.
