VMware takes a lot of processing power, try running the game natively on your Win10 desktop PC.

1) Copy an entire game folder from your virtual to your real OS

2) Export game registry keys from virtual OS:
Open regedit.exe and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > EA Sports. Select "NBA Live 2000" entry and click File->Export. Save it as "nba.reg".

Open saved file in a notepad and modify all "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\EA Sports\NBA Live 2000" strings to:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\EA Sports\NBA Live 2000".

3) Copy modified "nba.reg" to your real OS and import it there

4) Now do the rest of the usual stuff (import nba2000.reg from nGlide compatibility list / install PatchInstall.bat / nGlide) on your real OS.

P.S. When it comes to resolution, don't forget there's also nGlide configurator where your can crank it up as well.

You forgot "crack the game". Because NBA 2000 is Safedisc protected and Win10Shit allows Microsoft©®™ DRM only.
About the nGlide 1.04 1024x768 resolution limit in the game - disable triple buffer and use 1280x1024.
Hmm... 1.25 MPixels * (3 pages + 1 z-buffer) * 2 Bytes per pixel = 10 MiB framebuffer memory... Nglide 1.04 supports up to 8 MiB IIRC.
Asus P4P800 SE/Pentium4 3.2E/2 Gb DDR400 (3-3-3-8),
Radeon HD3850 Agp (Sapphire), Catalyst 14.4 (XpProSp3).
2 Voodoo2 12 MB (SLI), Win2k drivers 1.02.00 (XpProSp3).

I've just done that, but now the game won't even start. I run nbawin.exe and nothing happens.

In the case it's needed, here's the contents of the nba.reg file I made.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\EA SPORTS\NBA Live 2000]
"DisplayName"="NBA Live 2000"
"Language"="English"
"CD Drive"="J:\\" (my DaemonTools drive)
"Install Dir"="H:\\Program Files (x86)\\Electronic Arts\\EA SPORTS\\NBA Live 2000" (my actual game folder location)
"3D Device Description"="3Dfx Voodoo"
"3D Card"="3Dfx Voodoo"
"Thrash Driver"="voodoo2"
"Group"="3Dfx"
"D3D Device"=dword:00000000
"Triple Buffer"=dword:00000000
"Hardware Acceleration"=dword:00000001
"Thrash Resolution"="1064x768"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\EA SPORTS\NBA Live 2000\1.0]
"DisplayName"="NBA Live 2000"
"Language"=dword:00000001

?
IMHO, return the default value. "640x480".

Done that, the game still won't open.

I thought they only disabled secdrv service but it looks like it's broken for good. :(

The game starts, and I get the EA Sports "it's in the game" intro video and the copyright screen.

Then I get this message.

I have an idea what this is - it's aiming towards the wrong disc drive (It thinks the drive unit should be F: when it's actually J:). My .reg file changed that but it's still looking in the wrong place.

Then change your CD Drive letter on Win10 to F:

or

try editing install.dat file

or

change your CD Drive in VMware to J: and install the game / copy again.

I thought this would be simpler, so I did the following - I installed the game from my actual disc in VmWare, then I repeated the process to take it to my native system. Now it's working fine. :mrgreen:

Thank you very much for the help and I'm awfully sorry it took this long! :D
