Added to the "native" list:

  • K.O. - Independent Arts / Data Becker, 1999.

    Supports glide, d3d and opengl. Glide resolutions: 640x480 and 800x600.

Unfortunately K.O. is bugged in nGlide 1.05. Texturing is wrong:

The belt is completely green and 4 buttons in the bottom border have icons on a real Voodoo2 SLI.

Will be added in the "minigl" list: Jersey Devil - Behavior Interactive / Infogrames, 1999.
Tested. The game is ddraw/opengl. But it installs hw3dfx.dll (3dfxogl 1.0.0.438, 961024 B, crc32 - 8d373647), have dll related option in the jd.ini and some info about this "minigl" in the readme...
The only trouble - edited jd.ini not works for me. After I find the proper syntax for the "DLL=" line - I will add the game. The "rename hw3dfx.dll to opengl32.dll" method works ok.
Another trouble - the game freezes when I try to quit to the main menu...

P.S. Tnx to the Old-games.ru for the info about the glide support in this game.

WtF?
Independence War: Defiance. When I try to run the game from the autorun or the start menu - only sound in the intro, then ctd (iwde.exe offset 64d27).
Win+R then "IWDE -b -16" - same ctd.
When I run the game from Far Manager or WinXP command prompt as "IWDE.exe -b -16" - it works ok.
Others games are ok.
WtF is going on?

P.S. Another WtF. Tried to test MoHAA: Breakthrough. When the game loads the first level - it shuts down my PC an 50% of loading bar. Even with the standard OGL renderer. MoHAA and MoHAA: Spearhead are ok.
AAARGH!!!
Fixed after I left 2 DIMMs only. Hmm...
P.S.S. Well, I replaced my HD2600 Pro to HD3850 after I have tested MoHAA with nGlide 1.04. So - this is the first time I started this game on HD3850... I will test both problem games on my notebooks to be sure.

Tested with Acer Travelmate 2441 (Core Duo T2450, 2 GB RAM, Radeon X200M, WinXpSp3). MoHAA Breakthrough is ok. IW: Defiance - similar symptoms (ctd if started from WinXp, works if started from Far Manager). The only difference is - the intro movie plays in the small window.

Another candidate to the "native" list, "unsupported" section. Z: Steel Soldiers. Zrglide3.dll with the glide3x.dll dependency in the \Bin subfolder.
Unfortunately can't force this renderer in the setup. And the game itself is dx8 so maybe this file is just a rudiment.

^ For now next nGlide takes the priority, but I will definitely check this at some point.

Err... Zeus, I still have the "black snow" in NFS3 if headlights=projected. NGlide 1.05. I thought you have fixed both NFS3 and NFS4...
NFS4 is ok, this bug is gone.

P.S. 2 others NFS3 bugs are here too. Resolutions are still limited to 1024x768x16 w/o the z-buffer. And voodooa.dll/unpatched voodoo2a.dll still not work with nGlide 1.05: now the game freezes after the 3dfx logo (nGlide 1.04 shows black screen but the game itself works, there is the sound).

You can select Yes or No with up and down keys but the selection isn't drawn.

So... it's okay with 1.04+retail and 1.05+VEG's patch but broken with 1.05+retail?

Dunno about the VEG's patch. 1.04 and 1.05 both have this "black snow" bug in the retail NFS3 for me.
The difference is - 1.04 have this bug in NFS4 too. 1.05 - in NFS3 only.

P.S. Tested, VEG modern patch 1.6.0. 640x480x16 and 1280x1024x16. No "black snow".
P.S.S. Zeus, original NFS3 not work with nGlide at all. NGlide 1.04 - black screen, nGlide 1.05 freezes. The "black snow" bug is in NFS3 + banshee patch + glide3x renderer. The "limited resolutions" bug - the same version.
