Re: Pro Rally 2001

And do you have a rough time frame for the release of the next version? Is there a certain milestone you need to reach before releasing it?

Re: Pro Rally 2001

Will the loading screen fix work on the Direct3D version as well as the Glide version?

Re: Pro Rally 2001

Both, so I'll release them at the same time. You'll need new exe to fix freeze at loading screen and new wrapper version to fix "Mode Selection Error" bug. Sounds excellent; it might just finally allow me to play Pro Rally 2001 on my XP machine, just before I upgrade to a new Win8 box whe...

Re: Need For Speed 3 With Voodoo 3 Patch

The projected headlights always looked crap in NFS3/4, vertex lights up the road, projected sort of does a headlight effect but you can't see any detail in the headlight area, I always used vertex back in the day on Voodoo3/5!

Don't waste your time trying to fix ProRally.exe, Nico. It's already fixed (see my previous post).

Zeus, are you releasing a fixed exe for Pro Rally 2001 or is it the next version of nGlide we'll need?

Re: Pro Rally 2001

A shame really, it's not the best game ever but it'd be nice to run it. Your wish may come true soon. ;) Any progress on this? The game does work on Win8 (early release candidate at least), but I bet eventually it'll break like it did on Win7 (used to work at work, now locks on loading bar to a rac...

Check your PM, sent you the FX and original D3D ones from my CD.

Re: S.C.A.R.S.

So I'll try that method on XP later tonight and report back what happens. And...? Zeus, whatever you changed on the 3Dfx exe, does that only apply to that one? Of course not. There's a high probability you'll find the same code fragments in D3D version. No difference on XP trying same method as Win7.

Re: S.C.A.R.S.

Installer won't even work on Win7 (it says it can't find a language in a file that doesn't exist on the CD!). It does however work on XP.

I found some games used to jam on installing, until I disabled the virus checker during installation (I had McAfee at the time).

Re: S.C.A.R.S.

Interesting, I just tried it at work on my 64bit Win7 machine (with AMD graphics) and it works! Although the installer didn't, so I just copied across the folder on the CD to the PC then replaced the exe. So I'll try that method on XP later tonight and report back what happens. It seems to hang when...
