Re: Mad-Trax - a note and question

That's cool, that there's other ways to access CD music. However I can't really compile code :D

Mad-Trax - a note and question

I noticed Mad-Trax says to run in Win95 compatibility mode. I didn't do this and the race didn't load. However I then set it to Win95 and it worked, so I tried Win8 compatibility and that worked, so I turned compatibility off (which enables GSYNC on my monitor, and gamma effects from nGlide) and tha...

Re: nGlide's maximum refresh rate option is 120hz?

Sounds like 1.04 is going to be good :-) Can I also ask about the gamma application? At 1.0 it seems overly bright in games (compared to Direct3D versions of the same game). I think on my old Voodoo5 I turned the gamma down to something like 0 then it was identical to Direct3D, but nGlide only goes ...

nGlide's maximum refresh rate option is 120hz?

I have a 144hz monitor, is there any way to either add that refresh rate to the configurator, or is there an ini file or Registry string for the software I can modify?

Re: Midnight Racing - no mouse cursor?

Yeah my mistake on this one. The mouse pointer keeps moving outside of the screen area, so it can be hard to locate sometimes! Tried again and it works fine :-)

Re: Need For Speed 5 Porsche 2000/Unleashed

It works for me on 8.1 so that's probably not Windows version. If it's too much memory problem try adding GlobalMemoryStatus2GB next to EmulateHeap. If CPU too fast - maybe EmulateSlowCPU will fix the crash. if it's a DEP problem add DisableNX. Tried running exe as admin? BTW, apart from module nam...

Re: Need For Speed 5 Porsche 2000/Unleashed

Here's the 2 errors I see most. The Exception code and Fault offset remain the same for each time each of these occurs. Note: it's pointing to Porsche.exe, which means I was using the executable from the patch I mentioned here (which restores higher res textures): http://www.zeus-software.com/forum/...

Re: Need For Speed 5 Porsche 2000/Unleashed

I'll give some more detailed reports later. I hope this isn't caused by the more random Windows changes I made, to prolong the lifespan of my SSD, which included moving a number of Windows parts to D: drive, along with disabling paging file on my C: drive (left some on my D: drive though). However a...

Need For Speed 5 Porsche 2000/Unleashed

NFS Porsche 2000 (as I have the European version) won't work for me (nor will Hot Pursuit 2, but that's probably an Nvidia driver bug, as it works on my ATI Radeon HD 4600 equipped Win7 64bit machine at work). Anyway Porsche simply crashes after the opening videos and splash screen. If I add the nGl...
