Game doesn't have any textures problems when run in winxp with win98/me compatibility mode. I was able to finish whole demo in a single run without single loading or even dying without any problems. So it looks everything is ok with this game in winxp

I will just mention that the reason for broken textures in Pył has already been found:

The reason for breaking sound is somewhat found too but not properly fixed yet.

Finished prequel demo. Once almost all building textures disappeared so I could see all elements in the building ;) Guess still some secrets to find ;) (that was after I almost finished the game). But they reappeared after i entered the exiting tunnel so didn't even had to load a save state to fix t...

it looks textures are breaking a bit after some time of play - you can fix them if you load game state. Maybe that was what was crashing the game for you. Easy to check - if you don't notice any textures corruption before the crash that may be it ;)

I cannot finish demo as I cannot find the panel that unlocks the second switch in the main core. I even found a secret in the elevator. What do you mean exactly? It works for me with real voodoo1 card in WinXP (both prequel demo and full game).

The game has 10 fog (mgła) levels and that guard should be seen with fog level 2 I noticed that software version has got twice further view distance than 3dfx version with the same fog distance setting. To make 3dfx version match the software version you have to manually set the distance in game's ...

Pył has one more problem. Lights are shining through the walls.

The broken textures problem is a dosbox's glide patch problem as it happens with both nglide and real voodoo cards.

Go to advanced search
