Re: A very wierd question about resolutions

How about now? (download zip again and replace everything).

If it won't work this time, check Windows Event Viewer. Maybe this freeze is a crash and you'll be able to post crash module and offset.

paraemuladores wrote:Would it be enough to just replace the game's gamex86.dll with the one that comes with the 1.07 patch?

There is no point of doing that. Just download an updated heretic2_106_glide_ws.zip from my previous post.

Re: A very wierd question about resolutions

It is a well known Quake 2 engine bug: "function pointers have moved". Please download an updated package, it additionally includes fixed gamex86.dll.

Re: A very wierd question about resolutions

Ok, I have good news regarding modifications. It wasn't hard to force the game working properly in HD/full HD. If you want you can analyze the changes (compare two files in HxD and then two .idbs in IDA). The patch is really simple, it only replaces 1280x960 and 1600x1200 modes to 1366x768 and 1920x...

Re: NGlide versus my glide games collection

Zeus, can you please fix the Realmyst .exe? This *censored* game constantly quits to the desktop if a certain resolution was selected. I just uploaded a fix to compatibility list. Credits go to Jehon the Scribe for finding a cause of the crash. When it comes to low fps and white book pages, Virtual...

Re: Problem with 1.05 and Win10x64 build 17025

Are you sure the crash is related to glide2x.dll?

Please crash it again and check for module and offset in Windows Event Viewer (launch eventvwr command in a run box (Win+R), the crash will be listed in Application subcategory).

Re: color profil and nglide: is it posstible to add an option?

It is a problem, you will get inaccurate image if you ignore gamma curve set by a game (icc profile has a different curve and you need to take both into account). After your second post I did some research I found it is possible to retrieve gamma ramp of the device outside DX9. With this post I can ...

Re: A very wierd question about resolutions

Okey... Uhm, the most complex program I ever wrote was a dice game with no graphic interface with binary trees in C (linear C, not C++) and a little of Delphi, the 3rd version of the compiler; and that was over fifteen years ago, in high school. But I believe I can do it, if I put some effort. Your...
