Re: nGlide and DOSBox

1) download and extract CosmicDan's DOSBox compilation
2) install nGlide (at least 0.93)
3) run the game with 3DFX.EXE from DOSBox console (but you must have proper version of the exe, it must have 1386906 bytes)

Btw, do you have 100% DirectX9 compatible graphics card?

Re: how to play fifa 98?

It looks like your GPU does not support linear frame buffer writes (but 100% surely does!), so: A) try different nvidia drivers from their website B) reinstall DirectX C) reinstall Windows? (if you have another computer with GF9600 or similar, try it on this machine too (a friend maybe?)) PS) do not...

Re: Problem with 640x400 resolution, vsync problem.

nGlide is Direct3D, not OpenGL.

Re: Problem with 640x400 resolution, vsync problem.

Tested. I think something is wrong with these Quake engine games. For me, in Quake 2 if you select resolution below 640x480 i.e. 400x300 game asks wrapper for 512x384 (not 400x300!). Same for 320x240, so I cannot switch to 320x240 if the game wants 512x384. This may be the reason for you too. Things...

Re: nGlide and DOSBox

Hmm..strange because nGlide is Direct3D. Maybe adding Vsync option to nGlide configurator will solve this issue. :)

Re: nGlide and DOSBox

(Wait for vertical refresh - always on) but this doesnot affect nGlide

What exactly is wrong? Game is working too fast for you (btw, what game? Heretic2?) or you are noticing screen tearing effect?

I cannot help you if it's driver problem. I can recommend to try different drivers.

Re: Problem with 640x400 resolution, vsync problem.

Are you sure this is 640x400, not 640x350? Why bother anyway? There is no games for such resolutions and nVidia abandoned those with new GeForces. with nGlide i have that problem - 25 % of bottom area is black This is only for 640x400/640x350 and 320x200? nGlide doesnot have vertical synchronization...

3dfxer

I've read your suggestions carefully. It's still impossible. I wish that it would be, but it's not. Sorry. :(

SF2Ace

I will add this resolution to nGlide configurator.
