Resident Evil was unfortunately not designed for Glide API. It was designed for DirectDraw/Direct3D, no matter what graphics card you select.

Try different versions of the drivers and of course try both Catalyst and Omega releases.

I agree, this is not nice effect. If we are talking about Glide API games there is a potential possibility for making software dithering. It's worth to consider implementing this in the future (if it won't take too much CPU time). Other games (non Glide) need DirectX wrapper (e.g. DirectX 6->DirectX...
