3dfx Glide2 & Glide3 Diagnostics Kit.
Use test #30 and tell us the results please.

And again - fps cap is the game limitation, not the nGlide. As example - Descent don't have such limit, so - it is unplayable with the modern hardware. But 3dfx patch is working perfectly because of the cap.

Default value for the "refresh rate" in the nGlide configurator is "by app". So "by game Hz adjustment" is already implemented. :)

Ok, you need Glide SDK test #30.
In this test you CAN change the resolution AND the refresh rate.
So - use it and check the FPS counter please.

P.S. it seems like almost all glide games use 60 FPS as the internal limiter.

If I set refresh rate to 75Hz (as example) in the nGlide configurator - all glide games run in 75Hz refresh rate.
So, I don't have this trouble.

Try to use SDK as the test, please.

Try this patch (nfs3 voodoo banshee patch).
In Xp the game was worked only with this patch on my PC.

Use this method.
Unfortunately, installer for DOS not exists for this game.
Another two DOS glide games without installer for DOS are: Battlecruiser 3000 AD 2.0 and EF 2000 2.0 (GFX+ patch is windows only).

GTA 2 is the another of the "nGlide is not being detected as Voodoo card" issue. With the EA as the biggest culprit.
Check for the files "3dfx.dll" and "DMAGlide.dll" in the game dir. If you don't have those files - your version is not glide compatible.

Tested with I'76: Nitro Pack and Win7 64-bit/Pherom II/ATi HD 5730.
"Unable to initialize 3d acceleration".
