Re: any way to remove the 60 fps cap ? causes tearing on CRT

You are seriously mistaken.
75 Hz with the 60 fps cap and vsync=on == 25% frames will be drawn twice. Not the "any frame will be drawn at 80%".

Re: Nglide with ATi legacy cards.

I don't use cycles=auto, only the cycles=max (or cycles=40000 for the Screamer 2 and Screamer rally setups). Core=dynamic - again, used by default on the test PC. And - the test PC is just Prescott 3Hz, so - "are slow" is the normal result. :) The lowest results are in the Lands of Lore: Guardians o...

Re: any way to remove the 60 fps cap ? causes tearing on CRT

Try "vsync=off" and "refresh rate=75" in the nGlide configurator.

Re: any way to remove the 60 fps cap ? causes tearing on CRT

3dfx Glide2 & Glide3 Diagnostics Kit.
Use test #30 and tell us the results please.

And again - fps cap is the game limitation, not the nGlide. As example - Descent don't have such limit, so - it is unplayable with the modern hardware. But 3dfx patch is working perfectly because of the cap.

Re: any way to remove the 60 fps cap ? causes tearing on CRT

Default value for the "refresh rate" in the nGlide configurator is "by app". So "by game Hz adjustment" is already implemented. :)

Re: any way to remove the 60 fps cap ? causes tearing on CRT

Ok, you need Glide SDK test #30.
In this test you CAN change the resolution AND the refresh rate.
So - use it and check the FPS counter please.

P.S. it seems like almost all glide games use 60 FPS as the internal limiter.

Re: any way to remove the 60 fps cap ? causes tearing on CRT

If I set refresh rate to 75Hz (as example) in the nGlide configurator - all glide games run in 75Hz refresh rate.
So, I don't have this trouble.

Try to use SDK as the test, please.

Re: Nglide with ATi legacy cards.

Question - are "Resident Evil" and "Evil Core: the Fallen Cities" using glideAPI or not?
