For oldskool 32-bit Windows 9x/Me and Windows 2K,

Re: [LEGAL QUESTION] Is app/game patching legal? And the deployment of patches online?

VEG, your interpretation of that statement is a bit ... overenthusiastic. The DMCA exemption you're looking at was explicitly for patching games whose servers had gone offline. It had nothing to do with otherwise patching games in general. To the OP: distributing pre-modified executables is generall...

Re: NGlide versus my glide games collection

Looks like a new glide game was accidentally found. Space Haste - Church of Electronic Entertainment/Midas Games, 2001. Well, it looks like the game was released in 2000 in US (the publisher was Real.com). Plus no CDA on my CD but the game have CDA options in the menu... Is it the RIP version? Mayb...

Re: Tank Racer - Sound, Black screen

It is not nGlide's responsibility to provide compatibility in this situation because Tank Racer is not a Glide-based game nor is it a "miniGL"-based game.

You should seek help elsewhere, kuphus. Perhaps the Windows section of VOGONS.org.

Missed T-Buffer's motion blur, FXT-1 compression and 24bit-Z in the first image? ;)

No, I just forgot since March. I probably praised you for doing this at the time too. :)

glidenewbie, you may like this post in this thread where I go into some of the differences between Glide wrappers: http://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=41487&p=391593#p391593 We've been collecting all wrappers (not just Glide) for a while now (wonder when I'll find the time to resume th...

Re: General Glide wrapper advice required

There are NO GLIDE GAMES supporting these features. Demos only. And (maybe) some console emulator plugins. Yep. VSA-100 tech demos, Glide64 (N64 plugin) and OpenGL games (3dfxvgl, WickedGL) are the only programs that use them. No Glide games. I would still argue for feature parity if you feel like ...

Re: NGlide versus my glide games collection

No. But it uses .dxe format. IIRC this is the dll adaptation for DOS. Of course the standard .ovl driver is ignored and all wrappers can't intercept anything. So perhaps gulikoza or someone needs to make dxe interceptor/wrapper? Or Q2DOS needs to figure out how to compile with OpenWatcom (if possib...

Oh well, I guess we can't have everything.

Hmm...? Oh, is it statically compiled I guess?
