Forgive what may be a stupid question, but why do so many people want to use Glide, even if a game doesn't support it? I mean, I can understand if you only have a 3DFX video card and have to force games to use it, but if you have a more modern video card, why not just use OpenGL or Direct3D? Does fo...

Well, the game is coded by this way. You have antialiaced Lara and solid walls but there are black borders around items. Or - there are no black borders but walls have seams. I'm reviving this old thread because I just tried NGlide 1.03 with the 3DFX version of Tomb Raider. This message isn't to complain, but merely to report my experiences with the latest version. A real Voodoo 2 is working the same way. You have black lines around objects (the easiest way to test is the gunfire) but walls are solid. Or there are no black boxes around object but there are black seams in walls. When I say that it's not that common, I mean that maybe one seam in an entire room...

I occasionally notice a visible seam between some textures. It's not that common though. That's normal. I only mentioned it because pressing F3 makes these seams come and go. When I see one of the seams, if I press F3, it disappears, but then the boxes are back. Press F3 again and the boxes disappe...

The manual is for the original (not accelerated) Tomb Raider. Almost all 3d accelerated patches are using functional keys differently. Yes, I see that F2 puts an FPS display in the corner of the screen. I did check the ReadMe file that came with the patch, but it just told you where to copy the file.

Thanks, that got rid of the lines, although now, I occasionally notice a visible seam between some textures. It's not that common though.

I did check the manual and the ReadMe files, but they all said that the F2/F3 keys were for adjusting the screen size.
