Re: Quakespasm

Do you mean some `r_scale`? How exactly should it be used?) Hello, yes I meant r_scale indeed. It is not the same thing as what is discussed in this topic but it gives that retro and detail-packed look. It only affects the ingame 3D view and renders it at 1/2, 1/3 or 1/4 of the resolution and then ...

Re: Integer-ratio upscaling with NO BLUR (e.g. FHD → 4K with logical pixel as 2×2 same-color physical pixels)

Looking forward to this feature as well! :) Quake's source port Quakespasm has something similar and it's nice. While playing old games with desktop resolution is awesome, I find some get a 'shallow' look to them with such definition if you get what I mean. Somehow playing them in their original res...

Re: nGlide 2.00: Carmageddon 1 & 2

Well, this is normal beheaviour for Carmageddon in Glide mode. Not all cars have "reflective" windshield, and while they display a gradient in software mode (both DOS and CARM95), they just look like an average color of that gradient in Glide mode. AFAIK that's one of the limitations of th...

Re: nGlide 2.00: Carmageddon 1 & 2

Hello Zeus :) Fixed both couple days ago. \o/ Very odd. Does this happen only on Twin Shrieks or on some other stages as well? Could you benchmark also nGlide 1.03 and 1.04? How long do I need to play to reproduce it? 5 mins? 30 mins? As the old version of dgVoodoo 1.5 (DX9 too) has the same problem...

nGlide 2.00: Carmageddon 1 & 2

Hello Zeus and thanks for the new release! Here's some feedback for C1/C2, I hope it's ok to post it in a new thread. I had tested the first 2.00 release and then the fixed one uploaded yesterday in the evening. The fixed one really improved the framerate with the Vulkan API as it went from half the...

Re: I foung DOSBox 0.74G (it comes with Screamer2 game by GoG)

Very interesting! Thanks for the heads up! [edit] Just tested swapping glide2x.ovl that ships with DOSBox 0.74G and the one from the DAUM SVN and they are actually the very same files but for one byte. Performance is exactly the same thus. I tested with GOG C1 that came with that version of DOSBox a...

Re: Davilex Racer series

Little known fact: London Racer: Destruction Madness was actually developped by Carmageddon original dev team, Stainless Games. Maybe other entries in the series, but I only have that very title.

's all :B

Re: Carmageddon 2: Music doesn't play after patching

Sorry for my late reaction. I was a bit confused TBH. I thought nGlide 1.05 was supposed to widen the game resolution all by itself without stretching but for UI/HUD elements which then had to be resized somehow. But I understand even the base res has to be patched. Sadly that's above my meager skil...

Re: How to use nGlide environment variables

Very handy!

Too bad they don't work from within Dosbox (I know, they can be set before Dosbox is run via the batch file, but that's not what I wanted to do  )
