Sorry about the mistake, I use D-Fend which has the setting of DirectX driver as default. I did research this a little and found that apparently WinDIB driver gives better performance when using OpenGL output (which also has performance issues on my Core i5 Laptop hence I never used it). Actually, u...

How do you know that?
ykhwong's latest build, source code - sdlmain.cpp @ Line 4887:
Code: Select all
#if defined (WIN32)
#if SDL_VERSION_ATLEAST(1, 2, 10)
Output=direct3d is not compatible with nGlide. *censored* What do you mean? Did you set fullscreen to true? Yes. 3dfx logo, then - black screen and no keyboard response, as example - Ctrl+F9 etc. Windows keys only... Looks like SDL trouble, with SET SDL_VIDEODRIVER=directx the problem is fixed. It'...
Well, the glide patch is not-so-usable w/o direct3d output patch. Surface does not scale at all. Overlay does not scale hi/true-color modes. Opengl and openglnb are glitchy on ATi legacy cards... Funny that. On my Intel HD Laptop (yes, INTEL graphics) - opengl and 3dfx is fine. But Direct3D (with f...
Oh haha ok! Well it should still be free, but yeah takes a bit of time to get your account verified to accept payments. Let me know when you get around to it, and maybe you can also create a Donate button on the webpage
Ah well, I guess it's just a flaw in DOSBox. It being 0.7x i.e. not 1.x tells us it is still of course incomplete. And nothing is perfect (but pretty darn close!) :D From memory, both the auto and max cycles options were originally 3rd-party patches - just like Direct3D output and Glide wrapping are...
Interesting... on my laptop (Core i3), I achieve best performance with cycles on auto for pretty much everything. May be due to the nature of variable-speed on mobile processors. May I ask again what your CPU and Windows version is? I am trying to gather as much test data as possible for the next bu...
Ah. So you do not notice any performance benefit using my build? Many have said the build I did is faster for 3DFX games compared to tao's build (which I now use too), but I don't know if it's a placebo effect or just specific to certain hardware or Windows versions. May I ask your system specs? The...

This would be cool. But as far as I know, Zeus #1 priority at the moment is performance and compatibility. As far as features go, I hope to see Windowed-Mode support before anything else
