Re: Difference between OpenGL and MiniGL with nGlide

Depends on the game but most look pretty much the same. The reason why GOG puts nGlide in some of their releases is to increase compatibility with modern systems (two working renderers are better than one :)), but RTCW isn't one of them. It starts with nGlide because you have it installed in the sy...

I never wanted to add this setting into configurator for accuracy reasons but the number of driver related problems is mindboggling. Plus, it's the most requested feature so I guess I don't have a choice. ;)
Wow this is great! Release date?

Difference between OpenGL and MiniGL with nGlide

Hi, I wanted to ask if there is any difference between OpenGL games and MiniGL games with nGlide.
I'm asking as Return to Castle Wolfenstein from GOG runs with nGlide instead of OpenGL.
This question applies to all MiniGL games or any other game that has standard OpenGL and nGlide support.

I'm sure trying to see whats broken will not hurt. Also, nGlide is based on DirectX not OpenGL, and as far as I know, OpenGL is working fine for me (I'm currently playing Rage and Zack Zero).
