Re: Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2 - CD check bug request
Actually, if anyone else needs to play MGPRS2, just get the Kellogg's version, and an iso of the original, and copy the "Datab" folder from the original over the top of the Kelloggs version = wipes out Tony The Tiger! Only Direct3D mind you.

Re: Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2 - CD check bug request
Hey Zeus, long time, dunno if you're still about? Anyway I recorded a video of Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2 in 2019 (using dgVoodoo2 wrapper, though whether it's nGlide or dgVoodoo2 doesn't matter to my new issue, which sounds like the one above). Basically the original exe falls into the C...

Re: Formula 1 (95) z-fighting issues
Just found F1 97 has the same issue, when driving in-car cockpit view, you can see through the floor!

Re: Game too fast without V-sync, too slow with V-Sync
The solution for me, it turns out, is quite simple: use nGlide and set refresh rate in nGlide configurator to 85hz. It's still a little slow, I think it'd prefer 90hz, but my screen only does 85hz then 100hz (too fast). nGlide also looks better than dgVoodoo2 (has lots of pixelated break up around s...

Re: Game too fast without V-sync, too slow with V-Sync
I tried Nvidia Inspector, to lock the FPS to 80 or 85fps, and checked the in-game clock against a stopwatch, and it's nearly right at that setting.
More research is needed!

Re: Formula 1 (95) z-fighting issues
PCem is definitely the most accurate; compare the above screen shots to actual Voodoo2 card below, thanks to tgod on VOGONS (https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=59415&p=662131#p662116): https://i.imgur.com/prLwkOk.png I think the red Marlboro chevrons might have been intentionally re...

Re: Formula 1 (95) z-fighting issues
Time for some screenshots and video evidence! Note that I'm running one of the various Formula 1 patches though, I think it's the "joystick version" (see here http://www.patches-scrolls.de/patch/1711/7/), it skips the opening video which crashes otherwise. It has some bugs in the executabl...

Re: Formula 1 (95) z-fighting issues
One final thing: overall dgVoodoo2 gives the best result, apart from the rear wing being inside the car. The main issue with nGlide I'm noticing on many tracks is that the edging of transparent textures (trees for example) fade to a hard black colour. Not sure if this can be improved, as I don't see...

Re: Game too fast without V-sync, too slow with V-Sync
I think I understand it better: the game needs to run about 80 maybe 85fps (e.g. 85hz) to be at the right speed. With vsync on it locks to 60fps which is slow motion. If you run the D3D version at my monitor's supported Hz rates, 120hz and 144hz are too fast, whilst 60hz is slow motion. I guess it w...

Re: Game too fast without V-sync, too slow with V-Sync
Just been playing, and the same "1 second is slower in game than real-life" bug also affects the dgVoodoo wrapper, so it's something game related I think. The Direct3D version might have also been similar (for me), but there's so many settings in the wrappers, nVidia control panel, etc, th...
