Re: Half-Life 1 doesn't display right

My game version was 1.0.1.0, but I patched it to 1.1.0.7, 1.1.0.8, 1.1.1.0 and all three also worked fine. :?

Well, at least you've found a "workaround".

What is your game version? Look at the readme / hl.exe properties.

Re: Half-Life 1 doesn't display right

In my copy of the game I have MiniGL 1.45 (gldrv\3dfxgl.dll) and when I use 3Dfx Mini Driver + 640x480/800x600/1024x768 in game options and high resolution in nGlide configurator everything works as it should - sharp image with a HUD.

Re: Trophy Bass 4 1.0.0.4 - You need at least 50MB of free space.. wtf ?

I have no problems with W95 compat mode and the game but let's try something else. I created a patch that consists only fixes for virtual memory and disk space (all other fixes from W9x compat mode have been discarded). 1) Disable Windows 9x compatibility mode for tbass4.exe 2) Extract tbass4_patch....

Re: Andretti Racing - Windows XP / 7 / 8

HI, I am trying to run a patched (4.1) version of TOCA 2 on a Win 10 machine ... On the left (row) it's 0x74260 but you need to move to column '0D' so the address becomes 0x7426D, where value is 7E. Change 7E to EB and save the file. Alternatively you can download patched executable from http://www...

Re: NGlide versus my glide games collection

Found an old backup of EverQuest . The game supports the glide API. To be more precise: the game tutorial Really unexpected... :) P.S.S. Can't find the dependencies chain from tutorial.exe to glide3x.dll... Tutorial.exe have some _gr* strings but Dependency Viewer not shows a link to glide3x.dll. S...

Re: Killer Loop

It looks like video player is responsible for losing window focus and as a result losing mouse input (activating window again doesn't help, the game doesn't restore input device).

The solution to this is to rename "movplay.exe" in a game dir to something else like "movplay_.exe".

Re: Pyl speedup?

Discarding depth reads would not give you 60fps, half of the resources are consumed by DOSBox and that's not something you can skip. For nGlide part, you can use one of wrapper's releases that didn't support depth reading (nGlide 0.98 and older), but I don't think playing with invisible enemies will...

Re: Metal Fatigue vs Windows 10

I never had this issue, but maybe I didn't play long enough (and not on Windows 10).
I will check this when I find some time.

For problems like this usually setting "Windows 9x or XP compatibility mode" helps. Try setting it again, this time with nGlide (and maybe manually set the setting in the ini to a positive value).
